Project Control Officer (PCO)

Support program managers with accurate plans, status, actions and risk information across related projects.

Apply for this role

The role

We are interested in Project Control Officers who can keep a program’s working information accurate, timely and easy to use. You would support the program manager and project leads by maintaining the shared view of schedules, milestones, actions, risks and decisions. The role requires care with detail and confidence following up across teams; it does not carry the program manager’s authority for scope or priority decisions. This role-specific posting supports ongoing recruitment; assignment details would be discussed if an opportunity arises.

What you would work on

  • Gather updates from project leads and maintain a consolidated milestone and dependency view, flagging missing or conflicting information.
  • Prepare status packs and dashboards with clear dates, owners and source notes so the program manager can report with confidence.
  • Maintain risk, issue, action and decision records; follow up on due items and escalate overdue or material changes for review.
  • Coordinate governance meetings, circulate agendas and materials, capture decisions accurately and confirm action owners and deadlines.
  • Keep shared files and versions orderly, support change-control records and improve templates when they create unnecessary work.

Essential experience

  • Project or program coordination with hands-on ownership of schedules, status reporting, meeting actions and RAID logs.
  • Strong spreadsheet, presentation and document skills, including careful checks that figures and narrative status agree.
  • Clear written communication, discretion with sensitive information and persistence in obtaining updates from busy stakeholders.

Useful additional experience

  • Supporting a technology or transformation program with several linked projects and formal governance forums.
  • Using project tools or dashboards to reduce duplicate reporting and make changes easier to trace.

What to include in your application

Send your résumé and describe a reporting or coordination process you maintained. Explain how you checked accuracy, handled late updates and helped a manager or team act on a risk. Tell us how you kept decision and action records traceable when several projects contributed to the same report. A sanitized sample dashboard or status pack is optional. Please select the Project Control Officer (PCO) posting so your résumé is linked to this support role.
